Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Debt Capital Markets, Associate, you will be responsible for helping support the team in the origination and execution of corporate bond deals. You will be focused on Investment Grade clients in the Healthcare & Media sectors, this is an opportunity for you to utilize ample corporate finance and analytical skills, along with a good understanding of the global markets, to help clients raise capital. This role is client facing where communication is important. The group is focused on originating new deals as they help companies optimize their capital structure. The team works closely with investment banking coverage and other areas within global finance to deliver the full suite of financing and risk management products.
To be successful as a Debt Capital Markets, Associate, you should have experience with:
Understanding of DCM, rates, macro-economics, and corporate finance
Originating corporate bond business and executing investment grade new issues, should be fully versed in the deal process from start to finish
Working in a DCM seat, with excellent communication skills and the ability to present to a client, whether in person or on the phone/VC
Some highly valued skills may include:
Industry knowledge and experience to compliment good product/market knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and financial computations
Ability to work discretely and with a teamwork mentality
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in New York.
This role is regulated by FINRA.
Minimum Salary: $175,000
Maximum Salary: $225,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.
