Seeking a talented and motivated hands on Senior Developer to work in a dynamic front office technology team developing various facets of risk management for the equity derivatives trading desk in a highly distributed, low latency platform.
The chance to work on a highly visible real-time front office Flow Derivatives platform for a large revenue generating trading desk. Face time with traders, Quants and other business users both for understanding new feature requests and providing support.
To be successful as a Equities Risk Lead Developer, you should have:
Seasoned experience with Java, with a focus on low latency programming, multi-threading, collections, concurrency & optimization
Experience with Linux / Unix and Distributed file system
Experience in designing core Java based applications and distributed architectures, Solid understanding of design patterns
The ability to multitask with top-notch programming skills, with a keen eye for troubleshooting and problem solving
The ability to produce well-tested, documented, high-performance code to tight schedules
Other highly valued skills include:
Knowledge of Equity derivatives domain along with pricing and risk mechanisms
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker or any container technology would be an added advantage
Strong communication skills with experience in business facing front office applications
Ability to work with a diverse set of groups including technology teams, traders, quants, operations and other business functions
Ability to work with global team of developer and communicate / collaborate effectively

Salary/rate minimum - $165,000
Salary/rate maximum - $227,000

- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
