Overall purpose of role

Support the Head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Americas and their leadership team to:
- Maximise business performance through focusing on improved returns, sustainable growth, an excellent control environment, exceeding client satisfaction and having highly engaged colleagues.
- Set, own and constantly review the strategy for GTB Americas
- Lead and engage the local colleagues including focused inclusion and improvement of our talent bench-strength.
- Role model the Barclays Values and Mindset.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and inspire the GTB Americas Business Management team , engaging with senior stakeholders from across GTB and ICB and the group to achieve GTB Americas objectives. Ensure support for all run and change activity including overall governance and support to the Head of the Business in achieving their objectives. Specifically:
Drive Business Performance, Efficiency and Strategy execution
- Support the Head of the Business and key stakeholders in driving financial and cost performance.
- Define, track and report on strategy execution
- Deliver senior business management support for Head of GTB Americas and leadership team
- Co-ordinate engagement on Real Estate/Premises strategy, resource allocation, MTP and SI
- Provide oversight on central administrative activity
Optimise impacts of global or local business change on through robust change acceptance and communication
- Coordinate the change agenda across key regulatory, operating model and strategic business programmes;
- Support in developing the internal engagement strategy;
- Represent the local business in respective steering committees, working group and/or governance fora
Lead and oversee business transformation including strategic ambitions and client proposition development
- Representation at global transformation initiatives or programmes
- Development and ongoing review of business strategic ambitions

Salary / Rate Minimum: $ 220,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $ 275,000

Purpose of the role
To provide operating and administrative support to senior leaders, simultaneously shaping and executing long-term strategic change, whilst helping to navigate complex challenges in the performance of their roles
Accountabilities
- Implementation of Target Operating Model, business development, and financial and non-financial resource allocation, providing strategic insight and thought leadership.
- Strategic support to and oversight of demand pipeline and the book of work, including assistance in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, projects, research, and analysis to support decision-making.
- Support to and guidance for operational efficiency and colleague/customer/client experience within the organisation, including the identification of areas for improvement, streamlining of processes, and implementation of best practices to enhance productivity, effectiveness and experience.
- Management of of people plan, talent development and succession planning including the identification of high-potential employees, provision of mentorship and guidance, and support to leadership development and diversity initiatives.
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders, management of communication channels and ensuring effective coordination across different departments and teams.
- Participation in compliance activities such as SMR and other regulatory registrations/certifications, as well as support for crisis management and risk mitigation, including the development of contingency plans, coordination of responses to emergencies, and business continuity.
