In this role, you will drive the strategic evolution and delivery of our global Repo eTrading technology platform. You will lead the design, execution, and continuous enhancement of mission-critical eTrading applications while delivering scalable, high-impact technology solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic objectives. Partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will own the technology delivery roadmap for both existing platforms and new eTrading capabilities, ensuring successful implementation of innovative solutions that optimize trading workflows, increase automation, and enhance platform performance, resiliency, and scalability. You will demonstrate an established history of leading multi-faceted technology projects, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering strategic solutions from concept through execution. This role requires a good combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capability to shape the firm's next generation eTrading platform, enabling greater market competitiveness, improved client outcomes, and sustained business growth.
To be successful as a Senior Fixed Income eTrading Platform Engineer - VP, you should have:
Extensive eTrading architecture and design expertise, with a proven ability to define and execute electronic trading and automation strategies while influencing senior business stakeholders across global markets
Considerable communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to align trading desk objectives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive successful engineering execution
Deep financial services technology experience, including significant front-office electronic trading expertise within Fixed Income markets
Advanced Java engineering capabilities, with extensive hands-on experience in building high-performance, real-time systems, including concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization
Established history of architecting, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, middleware and messaging technologies, databases, API development, caching frameworks, microservices architectures, and modern CI/CD pipelines
Other highly valued skills include:
Preference for candidates with experience in Repo, Fixed Income Financing, and Securities Finance, coupled with an ample understanding of the associated trading workflows and market structure
Considerable knowledge of current third-party and off-the-shelf trading platforms, with the ability to evaluate and leverage vendor solutions to accelerate eTrading projects and automation strategies
Hands-on experience with fixed income market connectivity, including both Dealer-to-Client (D2C) RFQ platforms and Dealer-to-Dealer (D2D) order-driven venues, as well as a solid understanding of relevant market protocols and integration frameworks
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in our New York, New York office.
Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
