Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, Power BI, and Python (preferred).
  • Experience with text-based data analysis.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Excel, Python, and VBA.
  • Perform advanced data analysis, especially text-based analytics, to support control and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across levels to gather requirements, investigate issues, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Support the implementation of internal control policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS239).
  • Contribute to automation initiatives across the Controls and Compliance Office (CCO).
  • Ensure delivery of Business Control Framework (BCF) requirements and support continuous improvement of the control environment.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Experience in regulatory reporting and internal control design.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, ElasticDP, or similar database platforms.
  • Familiarity with Tableau for dashboard creation.
  • Understanding of risk and control frameworks, particularly in the financial services industry.
  • Exposure to BCBS239 and other regulatory compliance standards.
  • Experience in business analysis including requirement gathering, documentation, and testing.

This role will be based out of Noida.

Purpose of the role

To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.  

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
  • Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
  • Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
  • Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
