Join us as a " Models and Infrastructure Senior Analyst " at Barclays, where you'll be part of Market Insight & Analytics team which provides data/MI & in-house automation solutions to Coverage COO / Sales Management and finance team, Team also support on in-depth data analysis., leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across corporate banking teams.

To be successful as a Models and Infrastructure Senior Analyst, you should have experience with:

  • Strong understanding of model development statistical tools such as SQL, Python, and R.
  • Strong awareness of statistical techniques such as data analysis, regression, and time series.
  • Bachelor's degree in Math/Physics or Relevant experience.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Awareness of model governance, ideally demonstrated through a working understanding of regulations such as SS1/23 or SR11-7.
  • Awareness of liquidity modelling, particularly internal stress testing models used in ILAAP.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making

Accountabilities

  • Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.
  • Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.
  • Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.
  • Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.
  • Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.
  • Demonstrate conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.
  • Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.
