What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Data Warehouse Engineer, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Managing the existing BIA Dataware house and supporting the Metrics work along with other project initiatives.
  • Working with the current ETL platform to ensure data is updated across various databases schemas.
  • Designing, building and launching new data extraction, transformation and loading process.
  • Designing and supporting migration work to cloud platform such as AWS, Azure.
  • Building interfaces for supporting evolving applications and new applications’ data needs.
  • Designing of Hadoop Eco System, SPARK, HIVE, YARN along with AWS Services (S3, EC2, Redshift, EMR, Lamda, Glue).
  • Develop CI/CD, Orchestration pipeline creation, e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle, Nolio, Nexus, Artifactory.
  • May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. 

Accountabilities

  • Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
  • Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
  • Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
  • Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
