Explore locationJoin us as a Technical Product Owner at Barclays, where you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions aligned to strategic business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product vision into actionable delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions.
To Be Successful As A Technical Product Owner You Should Have:
Agile Product Ownership & Delivery - End-to-end ownership of backlog, roadmap, and sprint delivery across complex platforms, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership - Strong ability to influence, align, and drive collaboration across Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and senior stakeholders.
Enterprise Technology Expertise - Preferable, but not essential, knowledge of enterprise platforms (e.g. Pega, APIs, cloud-based services), with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and resilient technical solutions.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include:
Regulatory Knowledge (Card Scheme Disputes) - Experience or understanding of card scheme dispute regulations (e.g. Visa, Mastercard) and how these translate into servicing and technology requirements.
Fraud Domain Awareness - Experience or knowledge of fraud domain is advantageous, though not essential.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in Northampton or Radbroke.
Purpose of the role
To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.
