Business Analyst

Join us as a Business Analyst at Barclays, where you will be responsible for independently producing requirements breakdown, write user stories and manage the delivery in accordance with Business requirement design. You will ensure all requirements traceability are factored into design/code/test deliverables. You will ensure that necessary controls/RAIDS are identified and managed and assist in the diagnosis of system problems encountered during various phases. You will also be responsible for documenting the functional specifications and changes and ensure that the application knowledge repository is maintained.

To be successful as a Business Analyst you should have experience with:

• Domain knowledge in Banking or Finance

• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving abilities

• Proficiency in tools like Visio (or equivalent), Confluence, JIRA

• Strong understanding and experience of Agile methodologies and reporting using Kanban, Scrum boards or equivalent

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Good to have basic knowledge in technical areas like SQL, ETL process and reporting tools (Tableau or equivalent)

• Familiarity with any Cloud platforms, version control systems like GIT, job schedulers like Autosys will be an added advantage

This role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

• Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
• Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
• Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
• Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
• Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
