Join us as a Data Platform Developer Analyst at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.

To be successful as a Data Platform Developer Analyst you should have experience with:

  • Define API specifications (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and maintain accurate documentation for internal and external consumer. 
  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools, and data modeling concepts. 
  • Support QA and UAT for API endpoints, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to non-functional requirements 
  • Implement API monitoring, logging, and compliance checks in line with enterprise standards. 
  • Lead and coordinate data migration and transformation initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and compliance throughout the process. 
  • Assist in transitioning legacy SOAP APIs to modern RESTful services and event-driven architectures 
  • Minimum Qualification – bachelor’s degree. 

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Data Curation & Analysis: Aggregate and validate instrument static and pricing data from upstream systems (e.g, THOR, ESM etc) into PBWM’s Instrument Domain. 
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement and monitor data quality controls, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal governance standards 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with squads across PBWM (Finance, Credit Management, Investments and others) to deliver data products and enable controlled access for consumers. 
  • Platform Enablement: Support onboarding of new data feeds and frameworks for extract pipelines, ensuring scalability and resilience in line with PBWM Data Platform strategy 
  • Stakeholder management: Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated for use.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources. 

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.
