To be successful as a “Software Engineer", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Must be graduate/ must have bachelor’s degree.

• Hands-on experience in Python development for backend services and automation

• Experienced in building scalable RESTful API services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework

• Strong understanding of SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for writing optimized queries and implementing business logic

• Solid knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms for building efficient and scalable solutions

• Proficient in applying coding standards and best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code methodologies

• Clear understanding of solution design approaches such as microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), including designing loosely coupled, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems

• Familiar with Python testing frameworks such as PyTest and UnitTest for writing unit, integration, and functional tests

• Completely aligned with Agile methodologies, including active participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous delivery practices

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience with Distributed Cache (Ignite, Redis, and others.) and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

• Containerization with Docker/Kubernetes and Agile methodology for software development.

• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (such as Angular, React, or Vue.js), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in AI Engineering with Coding Agents, Agentic Frameworks, LLM Platforms etc.

This role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
