To be successful as an ETL Test Automation Engineer you should have experience with:
ETL Tools: Proficiency with enterprise ETL platforms like Abinitio primarily, Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or Matillion
Scripting/Programming: Strong skills in Python, Java, or Scala for automation development
SQL: Advanced database querying and optimization techniques across multiple database platforms
Data Warehousing: Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse architectures
Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS (Glue, Redshift), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (Dataflow, BigQuery)
Hadoop Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, and Spark
Some other highly valued skills includes:
CI/CD Pipelines: Implementation of automated deployment for ETL processes
Testing Frameworks: Data validation and automated testing methodologies i.e. Pytest
Workflow Orchestration: Tools like Airflow, Control-M, or Oozie, Tivoli for process scheduling
Version Control: Git-based workflows for ETL code management

This role is based out of Pune.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.
