EDP is accountable for the core data centric platforms used by the business to run day to day function like MI, Analytics, Machine Learning and data integration etc using technology stack spanning Hadoop, AWS, Teradata, Ab Initio, Big Data Tech (Spark/Kafka etc) and more.

Key Accountabilities
- Understand overall Enterprise Data Platform architecture
- Extensive experience in managing technical teams to deliver Data solutions, incl. acquisition, curation, catalogue registration, data product life cycle and data producer and consumer journeys and usage patterns.
- Align the development teams and technical objectives of the meta data stack in India with our data strategy and business goals
- Data migration from on-prem to cloud – preference to AWS.
- Lead multiple development teams to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and committed work
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects
- Align him/her self and the team to the vision of Barclays senior leadership
- Help drive technical strategy beneficial to the long term strategy of the platform
- Make sure Release management processes are followed properly
- Be part of the governance structure setup within the Barclays Data management team
- Step in to fill the gaps to ensure the delivery is not impacted
- Work with required vendors whenever required
- Provide consultancy to all EDP consumers
- Address and overcome technical blockers faced by the team
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
- Partnering closely with technical teams on all EDP consumers and providing required consultancy/support to them
- Partnering closely with CIO/CDO/CTO for Design / Architecture, delivery planning and reporting.
- Partnering with vendors and providing all required inputs to them from EDP perspective
Person Specification
- Batchelor / Master’s degree
- Pioneering - High level of initiative/innovation
- Good attention to detail/hands on with excellent organizational skills
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience in leading multiple application development teams both directly and in a matrix organisation
- Experienced with planning, estimating, organising, and delivering on multiple projects
- Ability to articulate solutions and process designs clearly
- Extensive experience of Software Development Life Cycle from product/project initiation to production rollout and BAU
- Senior stakeholder management experience
- Ability to collaborate across teams to deliver complex systems and components and manage stakeholder’s expectations well
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Solution delivery for data processing components in larger End to End projects
- Ability to drive the projects technically with right first deliveries within schedule and budget
- Broad and solid understanding of the concepts and roles behind data processing application build, delivery and design
- Cloud onboarding and cloud data processing experience
- Good knowledge of critical paths analysis and risk management
Purpose of the role
To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements.
Accountabilities
- Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints.
- Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, and effort and timeline expectations.
- Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation and security policies.
- Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
- Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.

- Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
