Explore locationJoin Barclays as an Infrastructure Engineer role, where you are responsible for enhancing existing processes, reporting and controls whilst ensuring the flawless execution of BAU. To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Ability to provide technical solutions to complex technical problems.
Strong understanding of enterprise design principles to build secure, fault tolerant and scalable systems.
Very strong Python skills, including coding, testing and deployment.
Ability to identify root causes of instability in a high-traffic, distributed system.
Solid experience with configuration and troubleshooting of AWS Cloud environment.
Secondary clouds like Azure and GCP.
Experience of automation and innovations that improve productivity.
Strong hands-on experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops visualisation tools.
Strong understanding of Cloud concepts, DevOps, and CI:CD in Jenkins and Gitlab.
Understanding of Cloud, Network and API security patterns, considerations, and best practices.
Some other highly valued skills may include below:
AWS Certified: Developer Associate and/or Solutions Architect or equivalent in other clouds would be considered.
Ability to create and debug declarative pipelines in Jenkins and Gitlab.
Intermediate SQL knowledge.
Practical experience of writing and updating technical documentation.
Understanding of Operating Systems, the TCP/IP stack, network routing and load balancing.
Experience of working in an Agile/Kanban team.
Experience of testing methodologies like TDD, BDD etc. and test automation.
Experience of release and change management process (ITIL).
Experience using configuration management tools such as Ansible/Chef/Terraform.

This role is based in our Pune office.
Purpose of the role
To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
