Explore locationJoin us as Large Holdings Senior Java Developer skillset at Barclays The role is targeted towards delivering key initiatives to meet the trade regulation and reporting requirements around increased technology automation to reduce the manual processing or increasing process controls and transparency for those activities.
To be successful as a Large Holdings Senior Java Developer you should have experience with:
8+ years of total IT experience
3+ years experience of working for an Investment Bank
8+ years experience with Java / J2EE technologies including Java frameworks such as Springs/Hibernates/Angular JS
Able to document system architectures and process flow
Able to work well with IT developers in multiple locations and across other teams
Knowledge of software development ‘best practices’ and the software development life cycle using Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem solving skills, able to shift priorities quickly
Values-based approach
Analytical skills – ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask
Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues and be proactive
Ability to train others
Flexible and hard working
Some other highly valued skills may include:
3+ years of working in the Compliance or Risk domains.
Experience with Java Script/HTML5 a plus
Experience with the following tool sets:
Perforce/GIT for source code control
Confluence, JIRA, UML for project and task tracking
Autosys for batch control
MQ for messaging
MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, Maths or other relevant subjects.
Experience with software release/build processes (e.g., Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment, Test Driven Development, etc.)
Project management certification; PMP, CSM, etc.
Strong appreciate of Global Markets and awareness of global economic, regulatory and Compliance trends.
Specific knowledge of financial products such as Equities or Commodities

This role is based in Pune.
