Become part of Security Engineering & Tech Services team as a Security Engineer Lead. At Barclays, we don’t just embrace change – we drive it. As a Security Engineer Lead you will develop, implement and maintain solutions that support the safeguarding of the banks systems and sensitive information.

To be a successful Security Engineer Lead, you should have experience with:

  • Proven Experience is using DataWalk or similar Analytics Platforms such as ANB (i2), Palentir, Cognyte. Demonstrated ability to work with a DevOps mindset including collaboration, automation and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience in using analytics tool for Security, Fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or other investigative purposes. Experience in integrating data from various sources and manage large dataset effectively as well as analysing complex datasets and creating insightful visualization to support decision-making process. Experience in developing and implementing Security Strategies.
  • Experiences with threat intelligence platforms and methodologies. Ability to think architecturally at ‘big picture’ and able to translate this into practical security implementation. Proven experience in leading and mentoring Security teams, to manage security projects from inception to completion. Proficiency in SIEM tools like Splunk, Sentinel , Wazuh.
  • Understanding of Data Protection Principles and practices. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages for data manipulation and analysis. Strong knowledge of data models, enrichment and automation. Documentation skills in order to provide high quality documentation for internal customers and technical support teams.

Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:

  • An understanding on numerous security tool sets; Vulnerability Assessment, Firewall Assurance, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
  • Relevant professional certifications in information technology or Cloud Security e.g. CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure Security Certifications. Experience of running an internal application and Services.
  • Experience of cloud technologies AWS, Azure and SaaS based security solutions and automation in an operational environment: Chef, Ansible, Nolio. Knowledge of standards like PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR etc.
  • Strong knowledge of security network architectures (e.g. Firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, Web and Mail servers) and the principles of network.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement and maintain solutions that support the safeguarding of the banks systems and sensitive information.  

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
  • Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Management and protection of secrets, ensuring that they are securely generated, stored, and used.
  • Execution of audits to monitor, identify and assess vulnerabilities in the banks infrastructure/software and support the response to potential security breaches.
  • Identification of advancements in to support the innovation and adoption of new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
  • Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure that cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Development/ Implementation and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.
