Explore locationJoin us a Security Engineer where you have to design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
To be successful a Security Engineer, where you should have experience with:
Total 8+ years or experience and including 3+ years dedicated to security automation and orchestration
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for workflow and integration development.
Experience integrating SOAR with RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party security platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain automated playbooks within Splunk SOAR to streamline security incident response and routine operational tasks.
Collaborate with SOC analysts, threat intelligence teams, and IT staff to identify opportunities for automation and to translate manual processes into automated workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to playbook execution, integration errors, and system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of automated solutions.
Continuously monitor, test, and refine SOAR use cases to adapt to emerging threats, new technologies, and evolving business requirements.
Participate in the development, review, and optimization of security incident response procedures.
Document playbooks, integrations, configurations, and standard operating procedures to promote knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
Train and mentor SOC analysts and other stakeholders on the use of Splunk SOAR tools and automated workflows.
Assist in evaluating and selecting new security tools, platforms, and technologies that can be integrated with the SOAR environment.
Familiarity with the Splunk ecosystem, including Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), core Splunk, and related apps.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) automation.
Familiarity with working in public cloud environments is a plus!
Experience and working knowledge of both Linux and Windows platforms.
Working experience in Agile Methodology, UI/UX, Web Development.
