Join us as a Tech Lead / Designer – Vice President, where you'll drive the design and development of cutting-edge enterprise applications. As part of the Corporate and Payments COO Technology team, you will lead the engineering efforts for scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions, leveraging modern technologies and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Desing and implement cloud-native solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate business needs into robust solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through best practices in design patterns, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership across the team.

To be successful as a Vice President Impairment, you should have experience with:

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript for frontend development.
  • Expertise in cloud development, including containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and secure coding practices.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
  • Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Purpose of the role

To drive technical excellence and innovation by leading the design and implementation of robust software solutions, providing mentorship to engineering teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to strategic planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of guidance and expertise to engineering teams to ensure alignment with best practices and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Contribution to strategic planning by aligning technical decisions with business goals, anticipating future technology trends, and providing insights to optimize product roadmaps.
  • Design and implementation of complex, scalable, and maintainable software solutions, considering long-term viability and business objectives.
  • Mentoring and coaching to junior and mid-level engineers to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing, elevating the overall skillset and capabilities of the organization.
  • Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
  • Innovation within the organization by identifying and incorporating new technologies, methodologies, and industry practices into the engineering process.
