Financial Sponsor Group Analyst

Join Barclays as a Financial Sponsor Group Analyst within the Investment Bank, where you will perform financial modelling and analysis, conduct business and financial diligence, draft marketing materials, and support transaction execution. This includes comprehensive financial statement analysis with an emphasis on developing financial projections and building/maintaining financial models. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct business, financial, and other types of diligence for the purposes of pitching and executing acquisition financing, IPO, M&A, leveraged finance/DCM, and other types of transactions. Furthermore, you will create high-quality presentation materials to support client discussions around new business opportunities, including idea generation around new investment opportunities.

To be successful as an Investment Banking, Financial Sponsor Group Analyst, you should have experience with:

• Assisting senior client coverage bankers in preparing marketing and pitch materials across sell-side M&A, Equity Capital Market, and Leveraged Finance/DCM products

• Performing comprehensive financial statement analysis with an emphasis on developing financial projections and building/maintaining financial models

• Valuation, acquisition financing/credit underwriting in the context of leveraged buyouts, credit fundamentals, and IPO valuation/analysis

• Creating high-quality presentation materials to support client discussions around new business opportunities, including idea generation around new investment opportunities

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Strong understanding of accounting, valuation techniques, credit analysis and financial modelling

• Ample written and verbal communication

• Meticulous attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to quickly learn about new industries and corporate finance concepts

• Willingness to partner closely with Barclays Industry and Product partners on deal teams

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

To build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, expectations and financial goals to develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions for clients and their companies  

Accountabilities

• Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.   .
• Generation of ideas and identification of opportunities that expand the bank's client base and generate new business opportunities.  .
• In-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation.  .
• Collaboration with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.  .
• Collaboration with other teams, such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.  .
• Champion Energy Transition and Sustainability by engaging with clients on their climate, transition strategies and sustainable finance opportunities where applicable.  .
• To build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, expectations and financial goals to develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions for clients and their companies.  .
