This is an exciting opportunity to join us as the Asia Treasury Markets Business Manager. As part of the Business Management team, you will support both Treasury trading and non-trading teams across Asia – Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan and India – with the priority focus in supporting TFI and Head of Asia Treasury Business Management on New Amended Product and Service Assessments (NAPAs). You will also drive internal/external/regulatory audits & reviews, drive business/regulatory initiatives and any governance and control related matters.

Key Accountabilities

  • New business execution – work with stakeholders collaboratively and resolve all outstanding issues timely
  • Governance and control across Treasury trading and non-trading teams. Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
  • Key contact person for all internal/external audits and reviews
  • Work directly with line manager and Treasury Leadership team on the coordination and resolution of issues across Treasury
  • Manage relationships across the wider organization (Front Office, Compliance, Ops, Finance, HR, Risk etc)
  • Analyse and evaluate a wide array of issues across different business areas, jurisdictions and technical Treasury disciplines.

  • Confident in making appropriate and timely decisions and escalating where appropriate

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with business and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaison between different business units and functions, fostering communication and collaboration.
  • Management and coordination of strategic initiatives, projects, and change management efforts to optimize business processes and strengthen the control environment.
  • Improvement of operational efficiency within the organisation including the identification of areas for improvement, streamlining of processes, and implementation of best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Development of performance reporting for key metrics that reinforce the strategic objectives of the division and support the external commitments made. Involvement in aspects of financial analysis and budget management, including assistance in financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance against targets.
  • Support to business heads in partnership with HR on hiring, workforce planning, joiner/mover/leaver actions.
