Explore locationJoin us as a Barclays Internal Audit-Global Markets Technology AVP, where you will enhance operational efficiency and drive technological advancements within the Global Markets Technology team. In this role, you’ll support audit scoping, assess risks and controls, evaluate control effectiveness, and perform issue validation to strengthen processes. Ideal candidates will have audit experience, expertise in Global and Capital Markets technology, and skills in SQL and Python, with certifications like CISA or CIA preferred. Collaborate across teams, foster strong relationships, and contribute to continuous monitoring and the delivery of audit plans.
To be successful as a Barclays Internal Audit- Global Markets Technology AVP, you should have experience with:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of services
Previous experience in risk-based Technology auditing or risk/control activities within a complex Technology environment
Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, and CISA would be beneficial
Other highly valued skills include:
Experience with or exposure to data analytics, coding such as Python, SQL and/or other data science/machine learning techniques will help you hit the ground running
Knowledge of new and emerging financial products and services and practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment would be a plus
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based out of Whippany, NJ.

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.
