Join us as a Residential Warehouse Junior Trader. You will join the Securitized Products team that manages the residential loan portfolio business. In this role you will assess market value of portfolios, set trade level haircut, and spread for each product that the business is mandated to lend against. You will work with internal risk partners to monitor and formulate risk parameters, provide guidance for the business platform governance and development and maintain/enhance client relationships in close partnership with the internal team.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Act as a trader within the business, managing elements of structuring, pricing and execution, client engagement and post trade follow ups
  • Residential loan portfolio management
  • BS degree in finance, economics, or related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

Additionally, the following skills are also relevant and highly preferred:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to drive franchise business
  • Knowledge of trading infrastructure and systems

 Salary / Rate Minimum: 155,000

 Salary / Rate Maximum: 250,000

 The minimum and maximum salary/ rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This role is based in New York.


Purpose of the role

To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions. 

Accountabilities

  • Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
  • Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
  • Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
