Java Developer

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Java Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

• Analyze user requirements and translate them to system design and functional specification.

• Design, implement and maintain user interface and back-end services for existing Java based platform for Prime Transaction Management to meet business needs and performance requirements.

• Conduct Unit, integration and system testing to ensure quality and functionality of the software.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers and other developers.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Ensure activities and duties are executed in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Minimum Salary: $131,997 per year

Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
