What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Product Owner, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Management and improvement of products using agile methodologies to support the monitoring of metrics such as usage, adoption, and customer satisfaction, and to support the development of roadmaps that aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of a product.

  • Utilize market research, analysis of customer feedback and monitoring of industry trends to identify new products, features or enhancements.

  • Development and execution of go-to-market strategies for a smooth launch of new products or features in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer support teams.

  • Drive assigned projects, assess current and future priorities by working with customers and managing deliverables and project timelines.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including business requirements, workflows, work breakdown structure, active communication updates, procedures, and approvals.

  • Leverage SAS, SQL, and Excel to query and analyze data required to support the creation of project needs and resources.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to support efficiencies in design phases of projects.

  • Establish projects plans to manage projects process; maintain procedures, reconciliations, and approvals.

  • Monitor multiple priorities and deliverables to maintain forward progress and ensure customer expectations are met.

  • Provide coaching and institutional knowledge to all stakeholders to ensure that all relevant information is understood.

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Minimum Salary: $155,542 per year

Maximum Salary: $170,097 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
