In this role, you will help build and evolve the platforms that protect millions of customers and transactions every day, forming a critical backbone of Barclays’ fraud prevention strategy. This role provides practical experience collaborating with a dynamic engineering team building modern Java microservices for real-time risk assessment, authentication, and verification systems. These solutions directly support customer trust, drive business growth, and enable digital innovation at scale.
To be successful as a Quality Engineer, you should have:
Execute RCA, Failure Mode Effective Analysis, and data backed reporting. Ability to identify, create and execute test plans, test cases, and inspection procedures
Experience in Testing complex microservices based Application Platform as well as event-driven system is a requirement
Technical skills in UI/UX testing automation with Selenium along with API testing with Postman, Karate, Cucumber, Junit, Java, Spring, Jenkins. Gitlab is required
Understanding on implementing quality gates in pipelines with automation-first mindset
Experience in working in an Agile team, participate in design and test case reviews
Other highly valued skills include:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and OpenShift, containerization, Docker, or Kubernetes
Leveraging AI/ML-driven capabilities or integrating AI solutions as APIs, copilots, intelligent automation to enhance test quality and productivity
Collaborative team mindset, end-to-end process responsibility, excellent stakeholder communication skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing engineering environment

This role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary: $75,000
Maximum Salary: $135,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
