As a Senior Connectivity Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Equities clients by developing low-latency, high-throughput order routing systems. This role puts you at the center of our global development efforts, with the opportunity to take on a leadership position and shape how we deliver trading technology. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating across teams, and building systems that make a real difference.
To be successful as a Senior Connectivity Engineer, you should have experience with:
Core Java development in Linux environments
Building distributed systems focused on performance and reliability
Concepts like multi-threading, networking, memory management, and caching
Trading systems, risk platforms, or order management tools
Supporting and guiding junior engineers on technical tasks
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Understanding of the FIX Protocol
Background in network or platform infrastructure
Scripting skills (bash, Perl, Python)
Clear communication and working well across teams
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey
Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
