Senior Java Developer - Credit Algo Developer AVP

Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior Java Developer – Credit Algo Trading Platform. You will be a key member within Credit Algorithmic Trading Technology team, to build/support D2D/D2C RFQ AutoExecution, Market Making, Price streaming, Hedging applications for Credit businesses.

To be successful as a Senor Java Developer you should have experience with:

• Excellent Java programming skills in Core Java development, Linux.

• Experience with low latency, multi-threading, memory management, or performance tuning.

• Experience with building Algo/RFQ trading protocol/market making infrastructure and/or strategies.

• Experience with messaging middleware technologies like Solace/JMS, databases/JDBC, Hibernate ORM.

• Developing automated testing tools to exercise functionality, performance, and capacity of code.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience with development and build tools, ideally Maven, Gradle, Git, IntelliJ, Eclipse.

• Preferably Bachelors Degree in Computer science /Engineering or related field.

• Full lifecycle development of a commercial system, including: requirements definition, agile planning, releasing, and production support.

• Ample verbal and written communication skills, together with well-developed collaborative mindset.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
