Asset Servicing Oversight Governance

Join us at Barclays as an Asset Servicing Oversight & Governance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the outsourced Asset Servicing operating model, ensuring that external vendors consistently deliver to the high standards expected by Barclays. You will provide robust governance, challenge, and oversight across all outsourced processes, ensuring strong risk management, regulatory alignment, and operational excellence. This is a critical, high‑visibility role that requires deep asset servicing expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to confidently oversee third‑party performance.

To be successful as an Asset Servicing Oversight & Governance Manager, you should have:

• Strong Asset Servicing SME knowledge.

• A proven track record of instigating and implementing change.

• Strong risk management and governance capabilities.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Knowledge of Barclays systems or similar large‑scale operational platforms.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience working within an oversight function, ideally vendor or outsourced service oversight.

This role is based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
