Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Product Designer at Barclays where you will take ownership of projects from initial discovery through to final delivery, applying the full end-to-end design process. In this role you will be focusing on understanding customer needs through research and data, and turning those insights into accessible, scalable design solutions that meet both user and business goals. It involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences. Key responsibilities include rapid prototyping, user testing, and partnering with engineers to ensure precise implementation. The role also contributes to design systems and supports a culture of design excellence and innovation. You will be a key player in shaping intuitive, elegant, and impactful experiences that serve millions of our customers across the UK.
To be successful as a Senior Product Designer, you should have:
Previous experience in a product design role, with the ability to design digital products and services end-to-end.
Experienced in facilitating and leading workshops and design sprints.
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, or similar for both design and prototyping.
Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to use clear storytelling to provide recommendations, influence decision-making, and build effective relationships.
Ability to interpret and work with customer and commercial data.
Experience working in an agile environment, within multi-disciplinary teams.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Line management experience including leading, supporting, and developing team members.
Familiarity with quality testing practices.
Experience in using AI (artifical intelligence) tools and commands.
Experience with UX-testing (user experience testing) platforms such as UserZoom or UserTesting.
Experience in using agile project tools such as Jira and Confluence.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in Manchester, London, Knutsford or Northampton.
