The role of the Cyber Security Analyst is to deliver Security Consulting services to ensure appropriate information security assurance is undertaken during the development lifecycle. This is a client-focused technical role to support the secure design and implementation of change across a variety of business areas, technologies and platforms where you will Lead and assist with risk assessments, assist in design and delivery of Security Consultancy services and Engage and partner with change delivery teams to identify and track security requirements and ensure Barclays maintains a secure environment.
To be successful as a Cyber Security Analyst, you should have:
Demonstrable understanding of security solutions and designs from a people, process and technology perspective; including security technologies, controls and assessment methodologies
Good relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO27001/2, NIST, PCI DSS and their application into diverse environments
The ability to discuss the underlying technology and security controls with product developers
Ability to work with technical and security specialists and the appropriate Business in developing and delivering system security solutions
Other highly valued skills include:
Awareness and understanding of the Barclay’s business unit responsibilities and structure
Knowledgeable about existing best practices for integration of security controls
Awareness of core development methodologies and their associated technologies
A Cyber Security qualification
Ability to understand business objectives and translate into supporting information security requirements
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Radbroke Hall, Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To enable ‘secure by design’, supporting the bank’s change programmes, design and implement a secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains. These include data security, security risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering (incl. cloud security), communications and networks, security operations, software development, security assurance testing, identity and access management (IAM).
