Explore locationJoin us as a Commercial Business Analyst at Barclays where you'll be primarily responsible for delivering high‑quality functional support with a great focus on data governance and analysis. You’ll work confidently with data sets, applying advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, lookups, and index‑match to drive accuracy and insight. You’ll also manage reporting activities and use project tracking tools to monitor progress across ongoing activities.
To be successful as a Commercial Business Analyst, you should have experience with:
Great stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to build effective relationships and engage across multiple levels
Clear and structured communication skills, ensuring information is conveyed accurately and appropriately to diverse audiences
Solid project management skills, enabling effective planning, tracking, and delivery of work
Ability to manage expectations actively and diplomatically in a fast‑moving environment
Commitment to maintaining alignment with a single, validated source of data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all reporting
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Understanding of data modelling principles and the ability to interpret or build dashboards
Solid financial acumen, including knowledge of budgeting processes and how cost centres operate
Prior financial exposure, with the ability to apply financial insights in day‑to‑day decision‑making
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in either London, Glasgow, Manchester or Northampton.
