Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Authentication & Registration Product Owner at Barclays where you'll be primarily responsible for owning authentication and registration across two platforms, ensuring customers can onboard and register smoothly while fully meeting security and regulatory standards. This role focuses on delivering effective, layered authentication (including step-up security), continuously improving customer journeys, and resolving issues or regulatory changes as they arise. You will role also support internal colleagues through digital demos and by showcasing customer interactions. You are someone who thrives at the cusp of Business and Technology and are seamlessly able to translate customer experience requirements to the engineers, and can convert the architectural choices to business outcomes.
To be successful as a Senior Authentication & Registration Product Owner, you should have experience with:
Proven line management and people leadership experience
Great roadmap ownership and strategic planning capability
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with senior management and key stakeholders
Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and dependencies
Great understanding and practical experience of Agile delivery methodologies
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Great understanding of end-to-end authentication and customer authentication journeys
Demonstrated experience of delivering authentication or identity-related projects
Good knowledge of SCA regulations and PSD2 requirements
Solid technical delivery knowledge, with the ability to work effectively with engineering and technology teams
Demonstrable expertise in modern identity and access management (IAM) protocols e.g. OIDC, OAuth2, FIDO2 etc. combined with a previous experience of designing migration strategies for complex, high-volume proprietary legacy systems
Exceptional ability to translate complex technical architecture and backend system refactoring into quantifiable commercial outcomes
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in either London, Knutsford or Northampton.
