Join us as a "Liquid Financing- Quant & Analytics Analyst" at Barclays, The role holder will interact with regional traders to understand the key areas of business, the PnL drivers, the risks involved and work closely to build solutions/ models/ reports that can help in making informed business decisions. This is not a quant developer role and it is more towards analytics.
To be successful as a "Liquid Financing- Quant & Analytics Analyst", you should have experience with:
Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
* Advanced Excel (Mandatory), Angular (Mandatory), Python (advanced Level)- Pandas, numpy, Microservices ((Flask or Fast Api), Django, Sqlalchemy, SQL (advanced Level) required
* Fullstack development experience or web development experience or experience in building api’s preferred
* Git (understands the workflows of Collaborative development)
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
* Technical Skills: Preferred Knowledge of BI tools like Qlikview, Tableau or Power BI (good to have skills)
* Proficient in Linux operating system and shell scripting
* Solid understanding of Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS and Spark.
* Relevant Experience in Investment Banks preferred.
* Candidates working in Prime-Brokerage shall fit-in well
- Engineering Graduate in Computer Science /IT, Masters preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of issues and breaches.
- Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities
- Should be able to understand/ structure complex flows in business resulting in PnL loss or risks.

- Comprehensive knowledge on Financing products like Securities Lending, Equity Derivatives, Cash Prime Broker platform and Repo Financing

- Familiarity with Jira to track project tasks, user stories etc and Confluence for documentation.
- Preferred Knowledge of BI tools like Qlikview, Tableau or Power BI
- Confident in dealing with groups outside of immediate team (Sales, Trading, Product Control, Credit, Legal).

Purpose of the role
To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research.
Accountabilities
- Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
- Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
- Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
- Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
- Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.
