Liquid Financing provides Prime Brokerage Services to our clients and it is a global business that provides a range of prime brokerage, execution, financing and clearing services including cross-asset class offerings for financing, clearing and execution services.

Quant Developer, working within the SM&D team, help to build and automate models and write reusable frameworks to underpin our business activities. This role will form part of a new team that is getting set up to assist our Prime Services business. The successful candidate is expected to engage in product development, hands on modelling and writing production quality framework code.

Key Accountabilities:

·        Write high performance strategy code to build our new eTrading platform

·        Build high-throughput two-way data pipelines from internal Trading Systems and Algo / Pricing Engines.

·        Help build and set up a back testing framework to assist in algorithm and pricing engine development

·        Help in writing code for consuming and caching real time data streams

  Stakeholder Management and Leadership

- Communicate across sales & trading desks, product, control and IT teams across the floor the manage risk and increase transactional efficiency

- Drive increased communication and shared goals and accountabilit

Person Specification:

We are looking for candidates who are keen to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work to set up a new framework, utilizing next generation tools and techniques

Ideal candidates will have a combination of the following experiences:

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative discipline such as Maths, Finance, Machine Learning/AI, Econometrics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry or Operations Research.

·        At least three to five years of electronic trading algorithm development experience with any asset class

·        Deep understanding of and ability to write low latency JAVA code

·        Experience with handling and analyzing real-time and large amounts of data

·        Basic knowledge of probability, statistics, and machine learning

·        Superior verbal and written communication skills

·        Proven track record of working as part of a global team

·        Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities.

This role is based in Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
  • Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
  • Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
  • Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
  • Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.
