About Liquid Financing

Liquid Financing provides Prime Brokerage Services to our clients and it is a global business that provides a range of prime brokerage, execution, financing and clearing services including cross-asset class offerings for financing, clearing and execution services.

Overall purpose of role:

Quant Developers, working within the SM&D team, help to build and automate models and write reusable frameworks to underpin our business activities. This role will form part of a new team that is getting set up to assist our Prime Services business. The successful candidate is expected to engage in product development, hands on modelling and writing production quality framework code.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative discipline such as Maths, Finance, Machine Learning/AI, Econometrics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry or Operations Research.
  • Deep understanding and high level production quality coding experience in python
  • Familiarity with RestAPI frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
  • Knowledge of advanced data structures and basic algorithms development
  • Good understanding of Pandas, numpy, scipy and matplotlib
  • Extensive practical knowledge of statistical methodologies and experience with handling and analysing large amounts of data
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities.

This role is based in Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
  • Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
  • Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
  • Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
  • Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
