Join us as a Banking and Credit Technology Lead, where you will lead the delivery of high-quality technology solutions supporting Banking and Credit vertical for Private Banking India Business and Operations. This role combines deep technical expertise with product ownership responsibilities to drive innovation and scalability in Banking systems and satellite interfaces.
You will:

  • Define and communicate the technical product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals.

  • Own and manage the product backlog for PB India Banking and Credit Platforms, ensuring technical stories are well-defined and prioritized.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.

  • Validate technical designs and solutions against business requirements and ensure traceability.

  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.

  • Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure alignment between development progress and product goals.

  • Provide functional and technical support during testing phases, including UAT and regression testing.

  • Ensure compliance with Barclays policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.

  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in technical product ownership and Avaloq development.

To be successful as a Banking and Credit Technology Lead, you should have:

  • Experience in Banking, Credit/Lending domain and their matching technology platforms.

  • Strong understanding of core banking platforms (e.g., Finacle, T24, BaNCS or any other LoS systems).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to document functional and non-functional requirements and manage acceptance processes.

  • Experience in coordinating testing activities and defect analysis.


Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science /engineering or an equivalent field.

  • Ability to understand the Project Technical and Business Architecture.

  • Should have ability to understand the requirement and build a functional solution around the same.

  • Should have ability to understand the data structures and help to resolve data issues.

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • In depth knowledge of and proven track record in financial services industry working in complex business and architecture environment.

  • Excellent overall knowledge of banking application and in depth knowledge of several of the functional modules like Loans, Lombard Lending, credit, payments, etc.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Good to have working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow and Agile.

  • Experience in large IT organizations supporting mission-critical systems.

  • Basic Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL scripting.
