Explore locationJoin Barclays as Americas Sanctions Advisory AVP at Barclays, where you’ll have the chance to serve as a key advisor in sanctions compliance by conducting thorough analysis and due diligence on sanctions alerts. In this role you will ensure timely and accurate decisions on customer accounts and payment activity in line with Barclays’ Sanctions Standards. You will ensure strict compliance with all applicable sanctions’ laws, regulations, and internal governance frameworks. In your role you will have the chance to protect the organization by preventing any transactions or accounts from violating regulatory requirements, while promoting operational excellence throughout the Americas region.
To be successful as Americas Sanctions Advisory AVP, you should have:
Sanctions laws and case dispositions
Experience in processing and reviewing investigations referrals
High quality writing skills and legal analysis

Understanding of financial crime compliance frameworks, including sanctions policies and standards
Communication and stakeholder management
Analytical and problem-solving skills

This role is located in New York, NY.
Minimum Salary: $110,000
Maximum Salary: $135,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To identify and conduct the appropriate analysis and due diligence on Sanctions alerts to ensure the appropriate action is taken against customers and payment activity as defined by the Sanctions Standards and Restricted Activity Matrix, ensuring that the organisation adheres to all applicable sanction’s laws and regulations and internal governance, such that client accounts are not held and transactions are not processed in breach of application laws and regulations.
