Explore locationEmbark on a transformative journey as a Valuation Controller VP Credit. Your role will be to ensure that the firm's FI Credit portfolio is appropriately valued, based on a combination of evaluation of market data inputs and review/assessment of the pricing models and methodologies used at both a portfolio and individual trade level. You will have responsibility for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you do.
To be successful as a Valuation Controller VP Credit, you should have experience with:
Credit valuation control function risk management or trading role of a top tier investment bank
Dealing with junior and senior members of front office, line product control, risk management teams across various locations
Identifying control or valuation concerns, challenging the business and driving control improvement for their area
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Financial product knowledge and attention to detail
Stakeholder relationship and the ability to work resourcefully to resolve unstructured problems
Good communication skills and ability to present / explain highly detailed issues in simple terms with stakeholders from trading, finance, market risk and IT across different levels
Identifying control or valuation concerns and driving control improvement for their area
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in New York, NY office.
Minimum Salary: $150,000
Maximum Salary: $210,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To conduct the accurate and timely valuation of financial instruments, and establishment of valuation methodologies, monitoring of market conditions, and provision of valuation insights to support financial reporting, risk management, and business decisions.
