To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineering teams, designers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate product vision into clear, actionable deliverables.

• Evaluate multi-layered business and technical problems to develop innovative and scalable solutions.

• Manage the full product lifecycle—from ideation through development to launch—with a good focus on user experience and operational scalability.

• Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure product stability, performance, and compliance.

• Navigate ambiguity and manage diverse stakeholder expectations to drive alignment and successful outcomes.

• Apply Agile methodologies and terminology (e.g., epics, user stories, sprints, backlog grooming, retrospectives) to enable fast, iterative product development.

• Ability to incorporate user feedback into product iterations to enhance usability and adoption.

• Experience working in Agile environments with a deep understanding of Agile behaviours and frameworks.

• Familiarity with Data Management and Data Governance practices, including metadata management, data quality, lineage, stewardship, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. 

Accountabilities

• Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
• Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
• Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
• Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
