To be successful as a Senior Developer, you should have experience:

  • Java, SQL, Linux/Unix, Web UI experience with focus on low latency programming, collections, mult-threading/concurrency & optimization

  • Work experience with Middleware Message Solutions- (Solace, Kafka, and TIBCO RV)

  • Understanding of CICD pipeline and Dev OPS

  • Ability to operate as a unit on an individual basis and able to contribute to make successful deliveries

  • Working knowledge of 3Forge (vendor product) and KDB/Q will be a plus

  • Ability to work seamlessly in a global team and have considerable communication skills with experience in business facing front office applications

  • Agile development inclination and ability to work with a diverse set of groups including technology teams, traders, and other business functions

  • Adjust with dynamic shift in requirements

  • Craft Unit Tests

  • Have responsibility of the modules assigned to identify through end-to-end delivery

This role is in Whippany, New Jersey office.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
