To be successful as a Data Architect you should have experience with –
Hands-on Data Architect / Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern data platforms that power enterprise analytics, automation, AI/ML workloads, and operational reporting. You’ll own end-to-end data architecture while partnering with product, analytics, and platform teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable data solutions.
Data Architecture & Modelling: Dimensional modelling, 3NF, data vault basics; canonical/domain-driven modelling.
ETL/ELT & Orchestration: dbt, Glue, Airflow, Databricks Workflows, Step Functions (or equivalents).
Big Data & Processing: Apache Spark, Databricks, Snowflake (warehousing, virtual warehouses, tasks, streams).
Cloud (AWS): S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch (plus MSK/Kinesis is a strong plus).
Streaming: Kafka fundamentals.
Scripting/Programming: Python for data engineering (unit tests, packaging, logging).
Some other highly valued skills may include: -
Design enterprise data architectures across data lakes, data warehouses, and operational data stores (ODS).
Build, orchestrate, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (batch & streaming) using modern tools and best practices.
Implement data quality (DQ rules, anomaly detection), lineage, and observability (SLIs/SLOs, alerting).
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Pune.
