As a part of the team, you will deliver technology stack, using strong analytical and problem solving skills to understand the business requirements and deliver quality solutions. You'll be working on complex technical problems that will involve detailed analytical skills and analysis. This will be done in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders. 

To be successful as a Dev Lead you should have experience with:

  • Responsible for Creating Standards and Guidelines for ETL development.
  • Designing effective reusable components to improve the development productivity.
  • Optimise the ETLs to reduce the overall execution time.
  • Understand the functionality of the requirements and design data models and ETLs.
  • Develop and Manage the Technical Lineage in Metadatahub.
  • Complex hands-on work on Ab Initio, Spark, Scala, HDFS.
  • Troubleshooting and development in other Ab Initio products like Continuous Flow, Express It, Query It, Metadata Hub, Control Centre etc.
  • Troubleshooting related SQL and NOSQL databases like Teradata, Oracle, MongoDB.
  • Writing complex SQL for data processing and data analysis.
  • Understand concepts of Hadoop, Spark, Scala and tune A>I product accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot any ETL related problem/error.
  • Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution involving Ab Initio.
  • Builds effective relationships with all stakeholders including federated project teams, BU SPOC, GIS etc.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and provide innovative solutions to technical problems.
  • Accountability, Decision making and problem solving.
  • Work with the project development team in Pune and escalate any technical issues, roadblocks or project risks to the Program Delivery Lead.
  • Develop the initial framework or platform of the solution which each developer will use to build the solution.
  • Conduct code reviews with other developers within the development team.
  • Work with the technology teams and take responsibility for the timely implementation of the solution.
  • Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards.
  • Tuning existing workflow/new workflows to ensure acceptable application performance.


 Some other highly valued skills include:

  • Awareness or hands on experience working on Cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of Big Data Technologies Cloudera, Hadoop, Spark.
  • Awareness of various testing and analytical methodologies and tools.
  • Able to solve problems with data to understand relevance of it to the wider objective.
  • Banking knowledge preferred.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
