Join us as the Laws, Rules and Regulations Risk Oversight Operations-Assistant Manager team at Barclays, where you will spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will support the delivery of day‑to‑day LRO activities, working as part of a global team to help ensure the effective operation of core oversight and governance processes.

In this role, you will support testing activities across key elements of the LRR Risk Management framework, including contributing to the execution of LRO Verification Checks, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate records to support transparency and audit readiness.You will assist with the production of materials for LRR Risk Management forums and senior reporting, helping to ensure data accuracy, completeness and consistency.The role involves working closely with colleagues across the LRO team to support end‑to‑end processes.As part of the LRO Office, you will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, supporting the adoption of digital tools, and helping to embed consistent ways of working across the team.

To be successful as the Laws, Rules and Regulations Risk Oversight Operations-Assistant Manager team, you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Able to review data and draw out themes, trends, and observations.

  • Experience supporting independent testing or reviews on key processes, drawing out themes and insights.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

 Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Comfortable using technology and digital tools, including AI.

  • Able to manage and deliver on multiple priorities, in parallel.

  • Understanding of the LRR Risk Management framework and wider risk and control frameworks.

 This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To define the approach for managing Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRR) Risk across the organisation and provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on LRR Risk Management, to support adherence with applicable Laws, Rules and Regulations.  

Accountabilities

  • Definition and maintenance of the framework for managing LRR Risk, including the LRR Risk Management Policy and Standard.
  • Collaboration with teams across the organisation to facilitate a comprehensive approach to LRR Risk management.
  • Provision of SME guidance on the end-to-end process for managing LRR Risk, including responding to colleague queries.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to assess the level of LRR Risk in the organisation and ensure appropriate steps are in place to identify and support the remediation of potential LRR non-adherence.
  • Provision of oversight, checking and challenging on the implementation of LRR Risk Management Control Requirements and Controls, through reviews of relevant team processes, activities, reporting and systems.
  • Review and investigation of LRR Risk related escalations, risk events and issues, providing corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Operation of key Compliance processes to support the implementation of LRR Risk Management.
