Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Migration Services Senior Linux SME role, where you will be responsible for leading and executing the migration of Linux-based systems and applications to cloud environments. You will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless migration processes, optimize migration paths, and support the adoption of Linux technologies within the organization. To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Linux System Migration: Lead the migration of Linux-based systems from various platforms to cloud environments, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and minimal downtime 1.
Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise in Linux systems, including system administration, configuration, and performance tuning 1.
Data Transformation and Schema Conversion: Generate scripts for data transformation, ensuring compatibility between source and target systems 1.
Automated Data Validation: Automate data cleansing and validation processes, detecting inconsistencies and errors in migrated data 1.
Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including Data Engineers, AI Developers, and Solution Architects, to ensure successful migration projects 1.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes 1.

Deep expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
Configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Experience migrating Linux systems to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and minimal downtime
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
Automating data transformation and validation processes
Schema conversion and compatibility checks
Data cleansing and validation automation
Working with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, AI Developers, Architects)

Standardizing migration procedures and system configurations

This role is based in our Pune office.
Purpose of the role
To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
