Explore locationEmbark your transformative journey with Barclays as a Portfolio Governance, where you’ll play a pivotal role as Risk and Control expert and drive the business forward in helping our customers. You will own the Test Automation within APACME across multiple technology platforms and ensure that the developments align to the overall Barclays technology strategy. Your role will be responsible to ensure that solutions balance the delivery, technology and enterprise impacts and enable adherence of all resiliency, observability, supportability, security and operational readiness requirements. You will also need to take ownership for Tech Governance Lead and strengthening efficiency and quality in relation to the work you do.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Design, implement, and continuously enhance the Technology Governance Framework aligned with enterprise risk, security, compliance, and audit mandates.
Lead governance routines for Change Management, Access Control, Asset Inventory, and Policy Compliance.
Partner with global and regional teams to ensure local and cross-border compliance with APACME regulations such as MAS, HKMA, RBI, SAMA, UAECB etc.
Oversee technology policy adherence, define key control indicators (KCIs), and track governance metrics via dashboards and executive reporting.
Coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring timely closure of findings and actions.
Handson experience on JIRA, DORA Metrics, Spring Insight
Support strategic technology initiatives with governance oversight during product launches, cloud migration, third-party onboarding, etc.
Lead forums to communicate risk posture, control health, and remediation status to technology and business leaders.
Familiarity with developing and managing control libraries, dashboards, KCIs, KRIs, and governance packs.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in governance across cloud adoption, data privacy, third-party risk, and agile/DevOps environments.
Hands-on exposure to tools such as ServiceNow.
Exposure to regional cybersecurity and operational resilience regulations (e.g., DORA, MAS TRM Guidelines, UAE IRR Framework).
Ability to operate across onshore-offshore models, managing governance for third-party vendors and captive units.
Strong understanding of banking products and services across Corporate Payments.
