As a part of the team, you will deliver technology stack, using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand the business requirements and deliver quality solutions. You'll be working on complex technical problems that will involve detailed analytical skills and analysis. This will be done in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders.
To be successful as a Release Orchestration Lead, you should have experience with:
DevOps & CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Gradle/maven, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Strong proficiency in building, deploying, and managing automated pipelines.
Container Orchestration & Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift /OCP for container management and orchestration. Experience deploying and managing containerized applications at scale.
Messaging & Streaming Technologies: Knowledge in Kafka (including Kraft model) and MQ for building robust, scalable messaging and event-driven architectures. Understanding of payments flow processing and integration.
Infrastructure as Code & Cloud: Proficiency in Terraform and AWS for infrastructure automation and cloud resource management. Experience with Helm and Chef for configuration management.
Scripting & Automation: Programming skills in Python, Java, and shell scripting (Bash) for automation, tooling, and process optimization. Experience with Cron Jobs and task scheduling.
Platform Management: Solid understanding of ServiceFirst, release management, patching, and vulnerability management. Proficiency in monitoring tools such as GitLab, AppDynamics, Observability, Elastic/ELK.
Linux Systems Administration: Experience with Linux-based systems, system performance monitoring, scalability optimization, and ensuring high availability.
Process Improvement: Proven track record of improving incident, problem, change, capacity, resilience, monitoring, and automation processes.
Some other highly valued skills include:
Knowledge of distributed infrastructure and Unix/Windows expertise
SQL skills and familiarity with databases like Oracle and SQL
Experience with integrating multiple toolsets across the DevOps ecosystem
Understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
Knowledge of integrating testing into the DevOps pipeline for automated build and deployment using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab and similar tools.
Source code repository management and tools like Nexus, Bitbucket and Gitlab.
Owns and runs with release tasks and collaborates with Release/BA/QA teams to make sure production releases are performed with high levels accuracy.
Support, monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non-production environments.
Assist L2 Support teams to resolve user queries and production issues.
Participates in team retrospective / product demo(s) and provides valuable insights and improvements for future development.
