To be successful as a "Security Engineer", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Evidence of strong statistical knowledge.

  • Proven ability to construct, evaluate, and optimise core machine learning algorithms (SVM, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes etc.) and the ability to manipulate data as required for running them.

  • Strong experience in at least one prevailing and relevant programming language, Python is a must.

  • Demonstrable experience of ML libraries like TensorFlow, Keras, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn etc.

  • Knowledgeable in big data ecosystems and distributed programming using AWS native services.

  • Experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning/scoring/statistical models in production.

  • Strong business acumen with an ability to break down problems and translate them into a data led solutions.

  • Appreciation of the power of visualisation and the ability to “tell a story.”

  • Understanding of governance in a large financial environment, particularly around Change Management, Risk Management, handling major and minor incidents, Disaster Recovery planning / testing and meeting requirements of rigorous Audit mandates.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Understanding of machine learning techniques in a cyber-security context.

  • Data engineering experience, including acquisition and manipulation of large structured and unstructured datasets.

  • Experience in Continuous Integration/unit testing.

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement and maintain solutions that support the safeguarding of the banks systems and sensitive information.  

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
  • Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Management and protection of secrets, ensuring that they are securely generated, stored, and used.
  • Execution of audits to monitor, identify and assess vulnerabilities in the banks infrastructure/software and support the response to potential security breaches.
  • Identification of advancements in to support the innovation and adoption of new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
  • Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure that cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Development/ Implementation and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.
