To be successful as a Surveillance INFRA DevOps Developer you should have experience with:
- Leading INFRA Strategy engagements, Cloud, aPaaS and Hadoop technology and architecture efforts, deployments and migrations.
- Lead the design, planning and implementation of complex IT infrastructure solutions.
- Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to establish Cloud migration roadmaps and priorities.
- Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
- Design appropriate system and security controls in designing the new system on cloud.
- Technical Design and development of ETL/Hadoop and Analytics services /components.
- Close collaboration with Run the Bank who manage the Technical Live Proving and Incident Management.
- Mentor and help the team work towards operational efficiency.
- Notify business and other IT teams of impact of release and liaise with them to obtain UAT sign-off. Provide regular updates on the release progress.
- Accountability of INFRA remediation, vulnerabilities remediation and upgrades and keeping environment compliant with the set standards.
Highly valued skills include:
- Minimum Bachelors or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
- Experience of Infra design and optimization, Unix, aPaaS and environment setup for applications.
- Experience in implementing system and security controls.
- Experience in SMTP, CSM, SSH Keys, certificates, INFRA automation tools like Chef.
- Hands on experience in Unix scripting (Shell).
- Good understanding of Python and other big data tools.
- Good Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change management process (ITIL).
- Good Knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows systems.
- Strong understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle.
- Experience with DevOps, good understanding of CI and build tools such as TeamCity, Nolio.
- Good understanding of SCM tools like GIT, JIRA etc.
- Ability to understand, analyse & document complex processes, features and stories.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to Management, business users, business analysts/data analysts and technology teams.
- Quick learner, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in in designing and migrating the Hadoop, elastic search cluster to strategic system will be an advantage.

To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
Accountabilities
- Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfil business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Including the identification of the appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimisation, and resourcing requirements.
- Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages. Use of data to drive down mean time to resolution.
- Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilising software scripting/coding disciplines.
- Security: Implementation of a secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats, including protection of hardware, software, and data from unauthorised access.
- Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives via a data driven approach.
