Embark on a transformative journey with Barclays as a Credit Risk Review Group - Credit Risk Reviewer VP. Your role will be to support the Risk Function in delivering its target of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.

To be successful as a Credit Risk Review Group - Credit Risk Reviewer VP, you should have experience with:

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments concurrently

  • Ample presentational skills

  • Professional qualification or graduate degree in finance or risk related discipline

  • Familiarity with processes related to wholesale loan underwriting, credit agreements, and covenant monitoring

  • Considerable testing skills and attention to detail; and ability to investigate inconsistent loan data/decisions and articulate your thoughts before key stakeholders

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Familiarity with general regulatory requirements and expectations facing the broader Wholesale Credit Risk organization

  • Experience with the corporate industry sectors such as, for example, General Industrials, Consumer, Health Care or Natural Resources

  • Familiarity with wholesale loan underwriting standards, particularly leverage finance across the Corporate Bank or Investment Bank

  • Technical aptitude and/or familiarity with credit risk models including those used for default grade generation, LGD, EAD and capital requirement / RWAs

  • IB /Credit training program from a large financial institution

This role is located in our New York, NY office.

Minimum Salary $165,000

Maximum Salary $200,000

Purpose of the role

To support the Risk Function in delivering it’s objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.

Accountabilities

  • Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.
  • Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
