Cyber Audit VP

Join us as a Cyber Audit VP, where you’ll take the lead in driving cybersecurity audits and innovation across a global organization. In this role, you’ll assess and strengthen the design and effectiveness of cybersecurity controls while engaging closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, transforming complex technical insights into impactful audit recommendations. Your work will shape how the firm responds to emerging threats and ensures regulatory alignment across the business. 

To be successful as a Cyber Audit VP, you should have

• Experience in risk-based technology internal audit, cybersecurity, risk management, or IT controls, ideally within financial services or highly regulated industries 

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, identity and access management, and threat intelligence 

• Ability to deliver timely high quality analytical work

• Ability to translate technical cybersecurity risks into business-relevant recommendations 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Other highly valued skills include

• Demonstrated experience leading audits and managing cross-functional stakeholders 

• Communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or cybersecurity-related field (preferred) 

• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g.  CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, CEH, CIPM) or other relevant technical qualification 

• Exposure to auditing major programmes and projects 

• Exposure to and usage of data analysis tools to support audit /control work or as part of operational leadership e.g. (SQL, Python etc.) 

• Success/high performance in a large, matrix organization

This role is located in New York or the Whippany, NJ offices.

Salary for New York:

Minimum Salary $150,000

Maximum Salary $210,000

Purpose of the role

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
• Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
• Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
• Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
• Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.
